Highlights of BEDO’s Activities and Achievements
Anemia Tablets Distribution Project
According to the advice of doctors and the guidelines in the information booklets from the Ministry of Public Health, BEDO distributed 3000000 free folic acid tablets through clinics and hospitals to persons in need. The initiative was warmly welcomed by the general public. The project's goal was to treat and prevent anemia in expectant and nursing women, improve the nutritional status of mothers and newborns, and lengthen life – a strong argument for why young girls' nutritional status should be improved
Women's Volleyball Team
In an effort to promote sports for women and contribute to the development of a healthy society, BEDO established a women's volleyball squad. Nine players make up the team, which is trained and taught by a qualified and seasoned coach BEDO has assigned. BEDO wants to improve the sporting opportunities for women and make it possible for them to have healthy lives. This women's volleyball team was founded with the intention of empowering women, increasing their interest in sports, developing their athletic abilities.
Men’s Cricket Team
Based on the popularity of cricket as a sport for the creation of elite athletes and the development of potential, the cricket squad is formed with 11 young athletes who are managed by a professional coach.
